Against the backdrop of the Sandia Mountains, these young athletes competed in yet another thrilling and successful championship. For two of Indiana's athletes, their perseverance and composure paid off as they claimed individual medals in their respective categories.

Ori, never ceases to amaze and with every tournament she competes in, always finds a way of conquering her nerves to claim yet another victory. At this year's championship, Ori not only won, but set a new U13 barebow national record: 652/720 & 1294.

Congratulations to Ori, Blackhawk Bowhunters & her entire support team for this huge accomplishment!

Lanie Nish: U21 Women Compound - 3rd Place

Lanie’s calm demeanor and composure helped her secure a much deserved, 3rd place finish. In a closely contested competition, Lanie narrowly edged out her opponent by one point, for a total score of 1349, to secure her podium finish. 

Congratulations to Lanie, Pine Hill & her support team for such a thrilling performance!

The tournament was a great success! There were a total of  154 registered participants for both the USA and S3DA events. The Friday night duel, saw 19 teams participate in the Glow in the Cornfield under the lights.

In less than 12 hours, 133 archers will begin their quest for a 2024 Field Nationals title and vie for a spot on the US Field World Archery Championship Team.


As we welcome these athletes from across the nation to showcase their shooting prowess and commemorate the 145th anniversary of the inception of USA Archery, let’s look at where it all began, Crawfordsville, IN.


  •  Established in 1823, is a city located 49 miles northwest of Indianapolis. 
  • Named in honor of William H. Crawford, who served as United States Treasury Secretary from October 1816 to March 1825. 
  • Current Mayor, Todd Barton.
  •  Home to Montgomery County Jail and Sheriff’s Residence, a historic jail built in 1882 as a rotary jail.
  • Home to General Lew Wallace Study & Museum, one of the 44 National Historic Landmarks in Indiana.
